Updates!

Monday 18th August

Big Congrats to Dan for his skating at the recent crossfire jam in Meanwhile this weekend. Dan won the best trick over the gap with a flawless bigspin flip and also placed 2nd in the street jam with a 270 to switch fs noseslide.

Also crayon friend Matt Davies came with us to make his comeback to the skate media world. He fully killed it and was even repping our gear! 'Mmmmmmm'.

Other goings on…

Chris has just starting his Emerica trip today. There is a demo on Tuesday at his hometown of Bridgend; we'll tell you how he went with that when he gets back.

Tommy has been mainly skating the Rec in Bridgend, inventing a new trick pretty much every night I believe. Gibbsy has done his back in ever since I gave him his first package but should be ready to kill it in the comp on Sunday in Bridgend.

The rain held out most of the day and even when it didn't the welsh office was host to a lot of fun including a highest ollie contest, best combo line, highest wallride sticker slaps (well done Ryan, Josh and Nick for killing it all day!).

We hope everyone involved had fun, we definitely did! Special thanks to James for the excellent comical job on the megaphone, Globe for helping us out with loads of prizes and Nick Richards for supplying the jump ramp and his filming and edit of the goings on for you to see.

Brussels News

Monday 9th June

Just got back from a really fun but not so productive trip to Brussels, firstly Steve and Tommy were not able to go which sucked and then Dan told me his knee was still bad but then came for the ride anyway.

So it was just left to Chris and new flow rider 'Pete Steele' to produce a article with Leo for Sidewalk!!! Pretty tuff, then to add to that Chris did his ankle in on the second day and it rained solid for 3 out of the 5 days! But luckily for Leo, Crayon friend 'Korahn Gayle' came along with us to finish his interview and completly killed it for those 2 days.

Thanks to John Winter for putting us up and Geoffrey van Hove for showing us round.

P.s We did happen to go to one of the best indoor parks i've been to, look out for a small edit of that on the site in the next couple of days.

P.p.s Chris's 18th was hella fun and all I can say is that Dan really is the 'Wildman'!

Calling all skaters, on the 21st June Crayon will be hosting a Go Skateboarding Day around numerous spots in Cardiff for Go Skateboarding Day! There will be prize giveaways for the best tricks.

Tell your friends as we are raising awareness to get Cardiff its first concrete park in the city centre.

What's Happening

Tuesday 20th May

Chris has found a home with howies clothing with some help from their new team manager and crayon friend 'Tidy Mike'.
Dan is still recovering from his knee injury and hoping it will be all good in time for our trip to brussels with 1 of our new riders plus the rest of the team. Tommy has just completed his 'day in the life' with editing nearly completed the edit will be up on the site on the first of june.

Thursday 2nd May

Welcome to the brand new Crayon website, sorry we haven’t kept you posted, but we’ve been busy sorting things out. Just to fill you in on what’s been happening since the last update…

Dan has been on a Mada trip to Paris travelling with the Yanks, the trip was successful, except from Dan hurting his knee on the last day; hopefully it's not too bad. The rest of us have also been on a Paris trip, but unfortunately our paths did not cross with Dan.

P.s. We've got a new feature on the site coming very soon! A day in the life of every skater in there hometown, it'll be up on the site every month and when Dan, Tommy, Chris and Steve have had theirs, the 2 new riders will have theirs the following months revealing their names.

Monday 25th February

  The “Who” video is finally out now and you can purchase a copy from Bridgenders.com.
It stars our own Chris Jones and Tommy, with Chris opening the video.

  I've been busy traveling around and distributing Crayon products to the following shops...

   ...with more shops to follow.

We are in process of having new deck designs from Crayon friend 'Tom Hobson' which are very near completion, not only is Tom a great artist, but he also kills it on a skateboard! You can check him out in the DragonEye video and to coincide with his board series, there will be a section of him skating up on the site.
Also in the works are trips to Paris and Brussels.

P.S. Guess who had to share a room with Pritchard & Dainton on the snowboard hol? Yeah me!! But luckily they were well behaved, this time!

  Check out the 'DragonEye' trailer for a new DVD (that also contains the Crayon Promo), which will be out on the 5th of February and will be available free with all Crayon products or at a cheap price separately.
  Also if you have seen the new Document Magazine you can see that Chris Jones has been fully repping some Crayon products in some sick photos, good work Chris!

Wednesday 16th January

Big congratulations to our very own Dan Wileman, who has just returned from a invite only Globe Metz Masters competition in France.Dan was awarded fourth place, with the returning Bastian Salabanzi taking the MetzMaster title.
  Dan said all the Brits skated well, including a Crayon friend Korahn Gayle who, in Dan's opinion should have walked away with the best trick.

Valencia and Trips

Monday 24th December

Chris Jones has just been on a small trip to Valencia with Nicky Howells and Joe Gavin for an A4 trip. Chris flew in on his own and met up with them on their last 3 days.   The trip went really well, Chris said that fellow Crayon friend Nicky was killing it out there. You might be able to catch their goings on in a future Document magazine.  Plans are being started for Crayon trips in the New Year and to make a start on the full length video, but until then have a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year from everyone here at Crayon.

Launch!

A big thank you goes out everyone who came and showed their support at the launch party last Wednesday.  Special thanks to both Als for keeping the night in track successfully. The DVD is in Duplication at present and will be ready within about 10 days, just in time for Christmas. Check out these snaps courtesy of Guto.

Welcome to Crayon skateboards!  Crayon is about to be launched with a party on December 5th at Buffalo Bar in Cardiff.  The party showcases a 'Crayon Promo' featuring the Crayon team.The party showcases a 'Crayon Promo' featuring the Crayon team.  Also 'Dragon Eye Retrospective'- which is a look back at the work from Dragon Eye productions which includes films like Pritchard VS Dainton, Vapors, Big Push's & various welsh scene videos, also has eighteen minutes of new footage featuring Korahn, Nicky Howells & loads more.  This will be the start of many things to come for Crayon with rough plans for filming trips, event appearances and other goings on already.  The boards should be available very soon after the launch party, a DVD featuring the Crayon promo & Dragon Eye' will be free with every deck purchased. The DVD will also be sold separately at a cheap price.  The first batch of tees will be available at the party at a discounted price. Hope to see you there!
